Lisa Siomicheva

Multidisciplinary artist, curator and cultural manager, based in Berlin. Trained as a journalist, and pursued her practice as a documentary filmmaker and photographer. Her focus is on documentary-based art, social change, diversity and migration, and the use of art to promote all forms of equity. Since 2010, Lisa has been working as a curator of cultural events and festivals, collaborating with artists, dancers, photographers and filmmakers to create discussion spaces at the intersection of art and social issues. She has recently been awarded the Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship to conduct the research-based project “International Practices in Art: Art festivals and artist residences promoting collaboration between artists, mediators and participants”.
